The Theme Builder allows for you to make quick changes across your entire site within the pre-built template settings.
Follow along to see how to make these changes in the easy steps below.
Step 1- Logo Installation
Logo Installation
Adding your Logo to the navigation bar is simple!
- In your WordPress Dashboard, scroll down to Divi > Theme Builder
- Click the lime green box labeled “Global header” in the far left “Default Website Template” box
- Click the far left “transcend” logo image to edit module settings.
- Click the “image” box to upload your logo file (.png or .jpg)
- Resize logo size (if necessary) by clicking the “design” tab > sizing > width >
- Click save
Step 2- Secondary Header Customization
Changing the very top heading bar
While still in the Global Header module from Step 1 above:
- Click the very top bar of the Global Header
- Click the center module to change the placeholder text
- Click the far left module box to change the Social Media icon > add YOUR social media link to each social media icon or delete icon by clicking trash can > change color of icon by clicking > Design > Icon > Color
- Click the far right box to change the button link > button > link
To Change the background colors of the modules:
- Click the blue section settings > background > color
- Click the very top green row settings > background >color
Be sure to click save at the bottom right and click “save changes” in the main Theme Builder Page.
Step 4- 404 Page Content
Changing the 404 Page Content
While still in the Divi Theme Builder find > 404 Page module >
- Click Custom Body pencil icon > you will be taken to the Divi Builder for the 404 Page
4-1 To Change the background colors of the module:
- Click the green row settings > background > color
4-2 To Change the Placeholder Text and text color of the module:
- Click the grey module settings > Text > Insert/Change Title & Body to your desired content
- Deisgn tab > text > text color
Placeholder Text Fonts have been set to “default”. In a later step, you will be shown how to change the default fonts to your desired style/font. There is no need to change font style in this module unless it will be different than the default font you will set.
4-3 To Change the Placeholder Button Style
- Click the “Take Me Home” Button module setting > Design > Button > change button style in this area as desired.
This Button Link is set to the home page. There is no need to change the button link unless you have a different page you would like to direct to. This can be done in the Button Module settings by clicking “Content” Tab > Link > delete current link by clicking the trash can > insert your desired link
Be sure to click save at the bottom right and click “save changes” in the main Theme Builder Page.
Be sure to click save to save all changes by clicking the 3 dots at the bottom of page and clicking save. Click “x” button once saved. Click “all changes saved” button on theme builder page to ensure all changes are saved.
Step 5- Blog Post Template
Changing the Blog Post Template
While still in the Divi Theme Builder find > All Posts module >
- Click Custom Body pencil icon > you will be taken to the Divi Builder for the Blog Posts.
Important: The categories, titles, and image placeholders, and placeholder content in this module are in place to set a placeholder for all blog posts. Do Not Change OR Remove any placeholder content from the top of the page down to the row labeled “Post Content Heading 1-6. All fonts and colors are set to default, which will change with your changes in a later step.
5-1 To Change the Author Bio:
- Scroll down the page to the module with the Author Bio and Pic > Click the grey module settings > Content>Change Name, Position, Social Media Links & Body to your desired content
- Scroll down to image > click image > upload or select the image you want to use.
- To change Image Background Frame Color click > Design Tab > Image > Shadow Color > change to desired color > click save
Be sure to click save at the bottom right and click “save changes” in the main Theme Builder Page.
Be sure to click save to save all changes by clicking the 3 dots at the bottom of page and clicking save. Click “x” button once saved. Click “all changes saved” button on theme builder page to ensure all changes are saved.
